About This Course

Memorising the Quran is one of the greatest honours a Muslim can pursue — and with the right teacher and system, it is achievable at any age. Our online Hifz course gives children and adults a structured, realistic path to memorise the Quran online, guided one to one by Al-Azhar qualified huffaz. This is not just about memorising new pages; it is about keeping what you memorise. Whether your goal is a few surahs or the entire Quran, you will have a plan, a pace and a teacher who keeps you on track.

The honest truth about Hifz: memorising is only half the work

Most pages sell you the dream of memorising. Few tell you the reality: the hard part is not memorising new verses — it is not forgetting the old ones. Plenty of students memorise several juz, stop revising, and lose most of it within a year. That is heartbreaking, and it is entirely avoidable.

A serious Quran memorization course is therefore built around revision as much as new memorisation. That is how real huffaz are made, and it is how we teach. With Quran Dawn, revision is never optional — it is part of every single lesson.

The three-part method we use

Every lesson balances three elements — the system used in traditional Hifz schools, adapted for one-to-one online learning:

  1. Sabaq — your new lesson. The fresh portion you memorise for today, recited to your teacher and corrected on the spot.
  2. Sabaqi — recent revision. The pages you memorised over the last days and weeks, kept alive so they settle permanently.
  3. Manzil — old revision. Everything memorised earlier, cycled on a schedule so it never fades.

Skipping the second and third is why so many people “memorise” and then lose it. Your teacher tracks all three for you, so nothing quietly slips away.

A realistic timeline

Everyone is different — age, memory and daily time all matter — but honest expectations help far more than inflated promises. As a rough guide, a student giving 15 to 20 minutes a day progresses gradually over the long term; 30 to 45 minutes a day covers roughly half a page daily with revision; around an hour a day makes about a page a day realistic, putting the full Quran within a horizon of a few years; and a dedicated two hours or more a day can bring that down considerably.

These are indicative only. We deliberately prioritise quality and retention over speed — a solid ten juz is worth far more than a shaky thirty. At your free trial, your teacher sets targets based on the student in front of them, not a sales page.

What makes our Hifz classes work

  • One-to-one with a hafiz. Your teacher has memorised the Quran and knows the journey personally — including the hard parts.
  • Revision built into every lesson. Sabaq, sabaqi and manzil, tracked for you.
  • Correct from the start. You memorise with proper Tajweed, so mistakes are never locked in.
  • Realistic, personal targets. A plan matched to the student’s age and available time — no burnout, no guilt.
  • Regular testing. So both of you know the Hifz is genuinely solid, not just familiar.
  • Al-Azhar–qualified, DBS-checked teachers. Authentic and safe, especially for children.
  • Male and female teachers — choose what suits the learner.
  • Flexible UK scheduling. Consistency is everything in Hifz, so we make a routine easy to keep.

Your teachers

Every Hifz teacher at Quran Dawn is a hafiz of the entire Quran, Al-Azhar–qualified, and holds an Ijazah — they have walked this path themselves and know how to guide it. Teachers are DBS-checked for work with children, and both male and female teachers are available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is it really possible to memorise the Quran online, one to one?

Yes — and for many students it works better than a crowded class, because they get the teacher’s full attention every lesson and a plan built around their own life.

Am I too old to start Hifz?

No. Adults memorise the Quran successfully all the time. It takes patience and consistent revision, but age is not a barrier when the method is right.

How do I stop forgetting what I’ve memorised?

Through structured revision — sabaqi for recent portions and manzil for older ones — in every single lesson. Retention is the core of our method, not an afterthought.

How much should my child memorise each day?

It depends on age and ability. We set a realistic daily target at the free trial and adjust as we go. Steady and solid always beats fast and shaky.

Do you memorise with Tajweed?

Yes. We memorise with correct Tajweed from the beginning so errors are not memorised and then repeated for years.

What if I’ve memorised before and lost a lot of it?

That is very common, and very fixable. We assess what remains, rebuild the weak portions, and put you on a revision cycle that holds it in place.

Can we choose a female teacher?

Yes — female huffaz teachers are available for sisters and children.

Is the first class free?

Yes. Your first Hifz class is a free trial with a full assessment and a realistic plan, with no obligation to continue.

What You'll Learn

  • Memorise new portions of the Quran with correct Tajweed from day one
  • Retain what you memorise through a structured sabaqi and manzil revision cycle
  • Follow a realistic daily target matched to your age and available time
  • Rebuild and strengthen any portions you memorised before and lost
  • Recite your memorisation confidently and be tested on it regularly
  • Progress towards your goal — from a few surahs to the complete Quran

Your Learning Path

Hifz is a long journey, so we break it into clear phases. Your free trial decides where you start.

01Phase 1 — Assessment & Foundation

We check your current memorisation, your Tajweed and the time you can realistically give. If your reading needs strengthening first, we fix that before memorising — because memorising with errors is far harder to undo later. Outcome: a personal Hifz plan with a daily target you can keep.

02Phase 2 — Building the Habit (Sabaq)

You begin daily memorisation of new portions, reciting each one to your teacher for correction. We start small deliberately, so the habit forms before the workload grows. Outcome: consistent daily memorisation without burnout.

03Phase 3 — Locking It In (Sabaqi & Manzil)

Recent and older revision enter every lesson on a fixed cycle, so earlier portions become permanent rather than fading. This is the phase most self-learners skip — and the reason they lose their Hifz. Outcome: memorisation that holds.

04Phase 4 — Testing, Completion & Beyond

Regular testing proves your Hifz is solid, juz by juz, through to your goal. Students who complete the Quran can go on to strengthen their recitation and work towards an Ijazah. Outcome: reliable, tested memorisation you can recite anywhere.

Who Is This For?

  • Children starting Hifz early, when memory is strongest, with DBS-checked teachers.
  • Adults who assumed it was “too late” — it isn’t, with the right system.
  • Part-huffaz who memorised before and want to complete or revive their Hifz.
  • Busy professionals and parents who can only give short, consistent daily sessions.
  • Anyone wanting to learn the Quran by heart, from a few surahs to the whole Book.
